DEADPOOL 2 Trailer Brings Wade and Domino into X-Force

There are no tricks this time. The latest Deadpool 2 trailer isn’t an extended Bob Ross parody or some kind of LEGO cooking show. And we finally know what the plot is going to be about. Cable (Josh Brolin) is coming back from the future to take out a mutant teenager played by Julian Dennison. To stop him, Wade Wilson/Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) is going to form his own team: X-Force! And he doesn’t care if it is totally derivative of some other X-franchise. It never stopped Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza from creating the X-Force comic!

Fair warning: this trailer has some very NSFW language. And it’s just a taste of what’s ahead for Deadpool’s second coming.

The new footage also catches up with Wade and his friends from the first film, including an extended reunion with hapless cab driver Dopinder (Karan Soni). Weasel (T.J. Miller) and Blind Al (Leslie Uggams) also get their moments, but we’re left wanting to see more of Vanessa (Morena Baccarin). The biggest new addition beyond Cable is Zazie Beetz as Domino. The trailer sets up Domino as an ally to Deadpool, and one of the first members of his X-Force team. Although, by the end of the footage, she appears to be questioning her life choices after ending up in Deadpool’s orbit.

Cable seems to going full Terminator in his battle against Wade, so there must be a reason he’s targeting the kid. We’ll find out more when Deadpool 2 opens on Friday, May 18.
