Chris Hemsworth Says AVENGERS 4 Will Be More Shocking Than INFINITY WAR

Details around Avengers 4 are still scarce, so what did Chris Hemsworth mean when he said it will be more shocking than Infinity War? We discussed it on today’s Marvel-centric Nerdist News Talks Back, along with the future of the Sony’s own cinematic universe, and production beginning on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Joining host Jessica Chobot today was editor Kyle Anderson, Nerdist News writer Joan Ford, and producer Jason Nguyen, and they started with Chris Hemsworth’s comments that Avengers 4 is even more shocking than Infinity War. What could he mean by that? What could be more surprising than the big Thanos dusting? And who do we think will ultimately survive? Will Tony Stark have to make the ultimate sacrifice?

In other Marvel-related news, Sony pulled their Silver Sable movie from their future slate. This means Venom is the only movie they have coming out for their Sony-verse, and reactions to its trailers haven’t been great. Is this cinematic universe already dead? Does anyone care? Is the MCU the only movie universe that works?

Finally, speaking of the MCU, Chris Pratt said production on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will begin in January. When will it be set? Who do we think will be in it? Will it introduce new Guardians? Will Gamora return? And what do we think of the latest teaser for The Ant-Man and the Wasp?

Nerdist News Talks Back airs live at 1PM PT every Monday through Thursday on our YouTube and Alpha channels, and we wrap up the week in pop culture with Nerdist News What the Friday at 1PM PT, exclusively at Alpha. Whether it’s the latest Marvel news, or some other Marvel news, or news about the MCU, it’s the place to be to discuss the latest in entertainment, including non-Marvel news too.
