Now You Can Build an Official LEGO Ship in a LEGO Bottle

LEGO bricks have been around for decades and yet builders still manage to find new objects to make in extremely creative ways. And LEGO itself has been fanning the flames of that creativity by inviting fans to submit their own ideas for official sets. One fan named Jacob Sadovich recently learned that his idea for a LEGO ship in a bottle is not only going to become a reality, it’s happening next month!

Via The Brothers Brick, LEGO has officially announced it its Ship in a Bottle 21313 set will be released on February 1. It’s going to be a complex build that breaks down into three separate components: the ship, the bottle, and the stand. It’s also going to take 962 pieces and a lot of time to put together, but as you can see in the image below, the final product is a thing of beauty.

Even the stand is impressive, with its replica globes and its built-in compass that really spins (although it’s not a working compass). The stand also reveals that the ship in question is called “Leviathan.” The Leviathan also has many enticing details, including its printed sails, crow’s nest, and captain’s quarters, all surrounded by a sea of LEGO water. It would still be a lovely creation outside of the bottle, but taken together, it really does stand apart from the regular LEGO sets.

The LEGO Ship in a Bottle 21313 set will be sold for $69.99, and you can pre-order it directly from LEGO.
