Sometimes, you just have to dress up on the job. But forget casual Thursdays; this (now viral) meteorologist dressed up as a LEGO Minifigure to deliver the Halloween forecast—and the internet is loving it. Honestly, we feel like the weather should always be delivered by a giant LEGO piece. It really adds a certain something to the highs and the lows of the day. You can take a look at the Halloween LEGO weather report, in all its glory, below.

Meteorologist Katie Nickolaou, also known as @weather_katie, is the meteorologist behind this Halloween LEGO fun. Nickolaou revealed on Twitter that her LEGO look actually took over 200 hours to make in the lead-up to her weather report. But it was worth it for the fun results, naturally.

There’s nothing like a good build to get the creative juices flowing; one might say this cosplay brought record-high excitement to the table. Nickolaou also shared just how she got into her costume and moved around in it with a behind-the-scenes video. The answer is, not with ease—but with the help of her excellent team. We guess if you’ve ever wondered just how a LEGO Minifigure might actually walk around IRL, this is the video for you. It’s a kind of totter, which is honestly very endearing. We bet LEGO will be making its very own Meteorologist Minifigure piece very soon, complete with its own weather forecast map.

But this isn’t the only nerdy weather report that Meteorologist Katie Nickolaou has given in her career. It turns out that she’s actually behind a project called #FandomForecast. There, you guessed it, Nickolaou adds a fannish spin to her weather report. You can check out her Star Wars-inspired meteorology below, for example. Nickolaou delivered this fantastical report on May 4th. It warms us to see… But we just aren’t sure we have the stuff to survive the day’s lows on Hoth.

We highly approve of adding a nerdy spin to any job out there. Nerdery makes the world go around, after all. Honestly, we’re kind of upset our local weather forecasts aren’t giving us a little cloudy with a chance of fandom.

But alas, we’ll simply have to enjoy Nickolaou’s reports from afar and ponder what the meteorologist will bring us next Halloween. How do you beat a LEGO weather report? It won’t be easy.
