Geek culture over the last decade has become the mainstream, with comic book movies breaking every box office record possible and role playing games moving out of the basement and into the wider world. In regards to that second factor, during IGN’s lives stream from the world premiere of Disney Pixar’s newest film Onward, Tom Holland revealed that he and his co-star Chris Pratt have been trying to start a Dungeons & Dragons group with their Avengers teammates.

The fun tidbit came up as Holland was being interviewed by IGN’s hosts (at the 1 hour 10 mins mark on the above video) who asked him if he had ever played the classic role playing game. “I haven’t, no, but Chris and I have been talking about setting up an Avengers D&D session, which would be amazing.” Holland revealed. It’s a fun idea that will likely get fans of the MCU excited, but Holland had an even bigger tease in store “We actually want to like film it, because it would be really fun. Not livestream it, because I don’t do…is this live? It is live! Oh ok, I’m really stressed now.”

So what would an Avengers cast D&D game look like? Well, we have some ideas. The first question is, of course, what game book would they use? If they went for a classic Dungeons and Dragons game we could suggest a class for each of the core cast. Chris Hemsworth could channel Thor as a Cleric, keeping watch between the world of gods and men. Scarlett Johansson would make a solid Fighter if she decided to follow the route of her on-screen counterpart. Jeremy Renner would likely get cast as a Ranger, what with his connection to bows and arrows and standing around looking at stuff. Pratt definitely seems like a Rogue, both on and off screen. Benedict Cumberbatch is obviously taking on the mantle of Wizard and as for Holland… maybe he’d be our game master? Though we would 100% be up for seeing Taika Waititi wield the power of life, death, and storytelling over his cast.

The other option is a different kind of game book all together. There are plenty of Star Wars classics if the Avengers crew wanted to do some Disney brand melding. Recently, DC Universe dug up an old DC Comics game book and started their own RPG led by Sam Witwer and Freddie Prinze Jr. so there’s always that potential too, especially as there is an iconic Marvel Game Book that could be used.

Marvel Super Heroes is a role playing game book that was first published in 1984 at the height of the RPG craze. In the sprawling world, you can play as characters including Spider-Man, Daredevil, Hulk, Captain America, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men, so it could be a fun way of seeing some of the heroic Avengers taking on new personas. Plus, there was the option to create entirely new heroes too! Maybe when Holland and Pratt put together their gaming guild, they’ll be looking closer to home than Dungeons & Dragons!
