THE MIDNIGHT CLUB Trailer Begins to Tell a New Tale of Terror

Mike Flanagan’s newest Netflix project, The Midnight Club, has been one of our most anticipated new shows since we first heard about it. And why wouldn’t it be? He’s made some of our favorite horror shows. And the series is an adaptation of Christopher Pike’s novel. What more could we want from any scary tale? (Especially one that will feature the telling of many of them.) But it turns out our expectations weren’t high enough. Because the first full trailer for The Midnight Club is even better than we hoped.

The initial energy and tone of this promo only makes the growing terror and existential dread that follows more impactful. And considering what Flanagan pulled off by employing a slow burn on Midnight Mass, that has us even more eager to watch this limited series. Here’s to go along with the trailer, here is the official The Midnight Club synopsis from Netflix:

At a hospice with a mysterious history, the eight members of the Midnight Club meet each night at midnight to tell sinister stories – and to look for signs of the supernatural from the beyond. A new horror series from Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy’s Intrepid Pictures (The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass), and Leah Fong, based on the creative work of bestselling author Christopher Pike.

A “sign” from beyond the grave is one thing. But these teens look like they’re getting the Time Square 3D billboard of signs. Only this billboard could also potentially kill you. Probably not great for them, but it should make for one entertaining, scary show for us.

Netflix’s TUDUM also shared new character bios and images for those who want to know more about the members of this spooky club.
