The Book of Boba Fett takes place on the sands of Tatooine, a planet Star Wars stories have turned to repeatedly. Given that location, the Disney+ series includes a number of nods to places and characters we know. The whole story comes from Boba surviving the Sarlacc, an iconic moment from Return of the Jedi. And now, the newest episode of the show brings back a memorable location—a location we know mostly because we didn’t see it.
In one of Boba’s bacta flashbacks, we see more of his time with the Tusken Raiders. They teach Boba how to fight with a gaderffii and incorporate him more into their tribe. When mysterious raiders attack the Tuskens from a fast-moving spice transport, Boba offers to help. Step one of his plan: stealing speeders from a bunch of Nikto thugs. Boba tracks them to none other than Tosche Station.
Yes, the Tosche Station from Luke’s infamous whinge, “But I was going into Tosche Station to pick up some power converters!”
He wanted to hang out with his friends, Camie Marstrap and Fixer Loneozner. But we didn’t visit Tosche Station in Star Wars: A New Hope. The location ended up on the cutting room floor, later to be released as a deleted scene. And thanks to this deleted scene, we can see how The Book of Boba Fett brought Tosche Station back to life. Part power station, part repair shop, and part cantina, Tosche Station is located in the outskirts of Anchorhead.
What would Tosche Station be without Luke’s friends? Camie (Mandy Kowalski) and Fixer (Skyler Bible) sit at one of the tables. Maybe the couple never left Tatooine and have enjoyed many an evening at Tosche Station. Or maybe they’ve traveled the galaxy, survived the Galactic Civil War, and returned to Tatooine to settle down. Either way, seeing Camie and Fixer on-screen again was a nice surprise.
