Sweet Tooth captured the hearts of many fans in its first season, which debuted way back in 2021. (As we all know, time in the 2020s is a vacuum of sorts.) Who can resist an apocalyptic story with adorable half-human, half-animal beings? Gus, our protagonist, is adorable, after all. The Netflix fantasy series, based on a comic book of the same name by Jeff Lemire, is finally coming back with more episodes. And the trailer for Sweet Tooth promises some righteous rebellion as Gus works to save imprisoned hybrids.
As we can see, the Last Men have a group of children and plan to use them to cure the Sick. But no one will go down without a major fight. This Sweet Tooth trailer balances the grave situation out with a strong feeling of hope. Our heroes will come out alright if they rely on one another.

A synopsis for the season shares a little bit more about what we can expect:
As a deadly new wave of the Sick bears down, Gus (Christian Convery) and a band of fellow hybrids are held prisoner by General Abbot (Neil Sandilands) and the Last Men. Looking to consolidate power by finding a cure, Abbot uses the children as fodder for the experiments of captive Dr. Aditya Singh (Adeel Akhtar), who’s racing to save his infected wife Rani (Aliza Vellani). To protect his friends, Gus agrees to help Dr. Singh, beginning a dark journey into his origins and his mother Birdie’s (Amy Seimetz) role in the events leading up to The Great Crumble. Outside the Preserve, Tommy Jepperd (Nonso Anozie) and Aimee Eden (Dania Ramirez) team up to break the hybrids free, a partnership that will be tested as Jepperd’s secrets come to light. As the revelations of the past threaten the possibility of redemption in the present, Gus and his found family find themselves on a collision course with Abbot and the evil forces that look to wipe them out once and for all.
Sweet Tooth will return for season two on April 27, so fans don’t have long to wait to see what goes down.
