The Super Mario Bros. Movie was an international smash with a lot to love, including some serious action moves from Princess Peach. She’s been a part of this universe for a long time but hasn’t gotten a lot of time to shine as a main character… until now. Princess Peach is getting her own video game on Nintendo Switch in March 2024. Get ready for Princess Peach! Showtime and check out the first trailer for this Princess Peach game below.

The description for Princess Peach! Showtime shares more about what we can expect from the new game. It notes:

The wicked Grape and the Sour Bunch have taken over the Sparkle Theater, and now it’s up to Peach and the theater’s guardian Stella to save the play––and the day! Peach can transform and use fantastic showstopping abilities to face off against the Sour Bunch.

As teased initially, Peach is going to the theater. There she’ll team up with its guardian Stella, who will help Peach transform to go on many adventures. Peach will have guises like Detective Peach, Swordfighter Peach, and Patisserie Peach to help her save the day and the various shows that are trying to be waylaid by evil. You can check out more of Peach’s Princess Peach: Showtime transformations in the new trailers for the game above and below.

From swordfighter Peach to ninja Peach to mermaid Peach and more, Princess Peach will definitely get to live every one of her best lives.

We’re glad that Princess Peach will get to go on a variety of adventures (and kick some serious butt) in this new game. Having our heroine run around Mushroom Kingdom and take down her foes is all the plot we really need. And the theatrical conceit will give Princess Peach a lot of space to shine.

It’s about time too, because Princess Peach hasn’t starred in her own game since 2005’s Super Princess Peach. For such a main character, she’s only had a few outings. We can’t wait to play this Princess Peach-starring game when it releases on March 22, 2024.
