Bola Ogun, Laura Belsey, Karen Gaviola and Mairzee Almas will direct this season.

Fans have eagerly anticipated Nikolai Lantsov’s casting, at least online fandom has. Charming and handsome, Nikolai’s relationships with the already existing cast of characters, especially Zoya and Alina, will surely delight viewers, new and old.

Wylan Hendriks, meanwhile, has his fate more entwined with the Crows. No spoilers, for however much one can spoil an adaptation. But… we can’t wait to see his story fall into place. All we’ll say? We hope Milo the goat approves of him.

We also feel very excited to see Tamar Kir-Bataar and Tolya Yul-Bataar come to our screens. A powerful sibling duo if there ever was one. And we could not agree more with the casting decisions.

Finally, we love seeing some of our original favs get promoted to series regulars. Matthias, Nina, and Genya ranked as season one standouts. And the knowledge that they will feature more prominently means only good things to come.

Fingers and antlers crossed for a Shadow and Bone season two release date soon.
