Believe it or not, Edgar Wright‘s big screen adaptation of the cult graphic novel Scott Pilgrim vs. the World turns ten years old this month. Yes, this news makes us feel all kinds of old too. The movie didn’t make a huge splash at the box office, but it qualified for “instant cult classic” status. Now, Scott Pilgrim and his band Sex-Bob-omb are about to get the best tenth birthday present ever.

According to Entertainment Weekly, most of the original cast is returning on Monday, July 20th for a special table read of the screenplay.  Edgar Wright, co-writer Michael Bacall, and original Scott Pilgrim creator Bryan Lee O’Malley will also join the reunion. This is one birthday celebration you shouldn’t miss. And as a bonus, you don’t need to leave your home to attend. The cast and crew recorded the table read back in May, but timed the release closer to the movie’s actual anniversary date. The film is also getting a theatrical re-release as well (though, given the pandemic, when is to be determined).

This special tenth anniversary table read will premiere on July 20th at 1:00p.m. ET on EW.com. It will benefit the Water For People charity. Oh, and when we say the whole cast is back, we mean it. Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Chris Evans, Aubrey Plaza, Ellen Wong, Kieran Culkin, Mark Webber, Johnny Simmons, Alison Pill, Satya Bhabha, Mae Whitman, Brandon Routh, and Jason Schwartzman are all on board, presumably reprising their respective roles. (Although, if they switched roles, that would be dope too).

The cast and creative team released a statement, saying “Thank you, Scott Pilgrim fans! Without you, there would be no ten-year anniversary celebration. And then we wouldn’t be able to bring you Scott Pilgrim Vs the World Water Crisis, brought to you not-at-all-live from the comfort of our homes during a global pandemic quarantine shut-down. This is definitely how we imagined marking this birthday.”
