With the release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, there’s plenty of Pokémon buzz around. And now we can add more good news to that pile. Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have created an online game music library you can freely use. The music library contains songs from Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl. In addition, this musical Pokémon collection doubles as a streaming platform.

Pokémon has many iconic parts, from Poké Balls to Eeveelutions. But its sounds definitely rank. Anyone who loves the franchise can instantly pick out its familiar themes. And this new free-to-use music library wants you to catch all the sounds. The Pokémon DP Sound Library, as it’s called, actually has many layers to it.

The official website shares:

Pokémon DP Sound Library is a place to both listen and download the music and sound effects from the 2006 Nintendo DS™ games, Pokémon Diamond Version and Pokémon Pearl Version. Explore the world of incredible sounds for Pokémon Diamond Version and Pokémon Pearl Version, which serves as the roots for Pokémon Brilliant DiamondPokémon Shining Pearl, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus games.

And additionally:

[The] “MUSIC BOX” section allows you to stream 149 tracks of music and sound effects in Pokémon Diamond Version and Pokémon Pearl Version for free. You can also select your top 6 favorite songs and create your very own “Party Track”. Dig in the “PLAYLISTS” section curated and arranged by themes.

And, of course, you can download the sounds and songs to your heart’s desire.

In the “Music Box” section itself, the Pokémon music and sounds get divided into very specific sections. These include Events, Routes, Towns, Facilities, Iconic Locations, Battles, Villainous Teams, and Characters. Literally, you can download everything from “Trainers’ Eyes Meet” to “Ending Theme.” Now that’s getting granular.

In an age where YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, and more are wildly popular, it’s nice to have this gaming resource. We hope many companies and games follow suit. For now, we’re off to catch Pokémon. And we’ll listen to the “Adventurous” playlist, of course. We just hope Jigglypuff doesn’t get too jealous of the new Pokémon music library.
