Star Trek: Picard begins its third and final season on February 16, with the full Next Generation cast reunion we’ve all been waiting for. Although we saw Captain Riker (Jonathan Frakes), Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis), and Brent Spiner (Data) in season one, and Whoopi Goldberg’s Guinan in season two, the third season gives us the full reunion of the main bridge crew of the Enterprise-D. Are you as ready to beam aboard as we are? You can now watch the third and final trailer for Patrick Stewart’s swan song as Jean Luc Picard right here:

After facing off one last time with Q last season, Picard seems ready to put the adventurous life behind him. But a distress call from an old friend (Dr. Beverly Crusher) sets him on a path toward danger one more time. Only this time, he’ll have the help of some old and trusted friends. All we know is that the new villain is played by Amanda Plummer. She seems to have a vendetta against Starfleet that fuels her hate. Also, Amanda Plummer’s father, the late great Christopher Plummer, played one of the franchise’s great villains in Star Trek VI. So it’s a nice bit of symmetry.

The official description for Picard‘s trailer shares:

The stakes have never been higher as Star Trek: Picard boldly goes into its third and final season. Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, LeVar Burton, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, and Michael Dorn of Star Trek: The Next Generation join series star Patrick Stewart for an epic adventure.

And indeed, this trailer highlights how much is at stake, upping the urgency and emphasizing the danger at every turn as Picard brings together his old teammates for one final battle. (At least, final for now.)

The trailer also revealed some new cast for Picard season three. According to a release, “Ed Speleers (Outlander, You) will appear as a series regular who aids Beverly Crusher’s medical efforts on worlds Starfleet has forgotten, and Todd Stashwick (12 Monkeys, The Last Thing He Told Me) will also appear in a recurring role as captain of the U.S.S. Titan.” We can’t wait to see how they’ll fit into the action.

Things we already know about this season based on this trailer and the previous ones is that we’ll see a lot of action on board the U.S.S. Titan. For hardcore Star Trek fans, they’ll remember that was the ship that William Riker took over as Captain at the end of 2002’s Star Trek: Nemesis. It looks to be the “hero ship” for Picard season three. Although we’ll also finally see the Enterprise-F, the seventh Federation starship to bear the name. But who is her Captain? We’ll have to wait until Star Trek: Picard premieres on Paramount+ on February 16 to find out.
