Disney+’s new Percy Jackson and the Olympians series will arrive just in time for the holidays this year. And what a gift it will be for all the Percy Jackson fans out there. So far, the Disney+ series looks like it will be incredibly faithful to the book series that inspires it. And that makes sense because Percy Jackson author Rick Riordan has been heavily involved with the series since its inception. The full trailer for Percy Jackson and the Olympians gives us our best look yet at the mythological world of the show. Gods, monsters, and vicious demigod frenemies, oh my! We’ll definitely want to bring a sword along.

This trailer for Percy Jackson and the Olympians puts the spotlight on some of the monsters Percy will brave along the way. The Minotaur arrives in all his glory in this Percy Jackson trailer. Medusa’s snakes are ready to slither. Hades’ three-headed dog Cerberus just wants a treat. And who doesn’t love a Chimera strolling toward them… especially when its starts to spew fire? We also get to see glimpses of more of the series’ gods, including Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hermes.

Of course, Percy won’t have to go on this quest alone. This Percy Jackson trailer stresses that a quest is for three. We love seeing the trio of Percy, Annabeth, and Grover come together before our eyes. And even though Percy doesn’t know where he fits into the mix yet, we bet this journey will help him find where he belongs. Not to mention, we’ll be going on this adventure with him, too.
