Bottleneck Art Gallery is known for their beautiful, pop culture inspired art prints, which come from an array of talented artists. One of those artists, Mark Englert, had a print of his stolen and used without his consent a few years ago. Now that exact print, in the style of a Pawnee National Park advertisement from Parks and Recreation, is getting re-released for a very special cause: to raise money for the Los Angeles Fire Department. The print, rendered in beautiful teals and oranges, features nature-lover Ron Swanson and is in tribute to America’s national parks. Even though Pawnee is a fictional town, Parks and Recreation is a show about the power of preservation. That’s exactly what Californian firefighters are currently putting their lives on the line to protect, as they work to combat some of the worst fires to ever ravish the state.Englert’s print runs for $25, and 100% of the profit will go to the LAFD in order to fund more hydration backpacks, which help firefighters stay hydrated and alert as they work.”We love superheroes,” Bottleneck Gallery said in a press release. “They give us hope, and allow us to aspire to be the best versions of ourselves, while also allowing our dreams to run wild with possibilities. And while we tend to deal with the fictional types of superheroes with some of our releases, there are often real superheroes out in the world that we hear about, and we want to support these heroes as best as we can.”The 11×14 Pawnee National Park print is currently available for purchase here through November 25. If you would like to make a separate donation to the LAFD, you can do so on the Support LAFD website here.
