“Eyes Without A Face” doesn’t just refer to a classic horror film, or an ’80s Billy Idol pop hit. No, it also refers to several pieces from artist Jason Edmiston, who has had a long-running series of character portraits also called Eyes Without A Face. As one can imagine, this series totally focuses on just the eyes of popular characters from all aspects of our culture. This included movies, television, music, toys, games, and animation. Edmiston has immortalized characters’ eyes from Freddy Krueger to Big Bird.

Now, the folks at Mondo are excited to announce officially licensed Eyes Without A Face portraits for Star Wars. These are done in partnership with Acme Archives. And the first set focuses on this year’s Obi-Wan Kenobi series. You can check out images of these two stunning pieces down below:

This will be the start of a series encompassing the Star Wars universe. Mondo is kicking things off with the series’ titular hero, Obi-Wan, and his apprentice-turned-mortal enemy Darth Vader. Both of their Eyes Without A Face portraits show the two former Jedi Knights as they appeared in the season finale, and their fateful duel on a rocky planet. Ben appears horrified at what has become of his student; part of Vader’s face creeps out from the shattered mask, with evil in his eyes.
