These include the pages from the Book of Mazarbul, marvellous facsimiles created by Tolkien to accompany the famous ‘Bridge of Khazad-dum’ chapter. Also appearing are two removable fold-out maps drawn by Christopher Tolkien revealing all the detail of Middle-earth.

Publishers have offered many versions of The Lord of the Rings over the years. Some include the iconic artwork of Alan Lee and have become valuable collector’s items. For fans interested in the First and Second Ages of Middle-earth, a similar version of The Silmarillion with Tolkien’s illustrations is coming in November 2022.
