Musicians across the world count Fender as one of the most iconic guitar brands in music. The popular brand, established in 1946, sells guitars of all types and for all skill levels. So, it stands to reason that most aspiring musicians dream about owning one someday. And thanks to a designer in Slovakia and LEGO, anyone can now build their very own LEGO Fender Stratocaster.

We first saw the new set via Laughing Squid. Slovakian designer and LEGO Ideas member Tomáš Letenay loved playing the electric guitar as a teenager. So when LEGO announced their “ Music to Our Ears” contest, he knew exactly what he wanted to create.

“I used to play electric guitar when I was a teenager, and I always dreamed of owning a Fender Stratocaster, but I could never afford it,” he told LEGO. “The competition on LEGO Ideas gave me the chance to create it in LEGO bricks. The Stratocaster was my gateway into music, and I love seeing my LEGO design with the stand. I am hoping that other guitar fans get as much joy out of building it as I have.”

As a guitar fan who cannot play the guitar (at all), I cannot wait to get my hands on one of these.

The brand further notes:

The guitar, built from 1074 LEGO bricks, features six strings, poseable tuning pegs and a tremolo arm for all the distortion you can handle. Plus, there is also a folding display stand, and an accompanying foot pedal and amp. The amplifier’s back and top covers can also be removed to show its inner speaker cone, wiring and intricate details such as the tubes, speaker and motherboard.

The LEGO Ideas Fender Stratocaster will retail for $99.99. It will be available on October 1 at LEGO’s website and in LEGO stores worldwide.
