Now that’s it’s October, many of you out there are starting those yearly Halloween horror movie binge watching sessions. You’re probably rewatching your favorite classic fright flicks on Netflix, or on AMC FearFest. Heck, you may even watch them via your own physical media collection of DVDs or Blu-rays (physical media?? I know, how very old school of us).

But for those who just don’t have the time to marathon through eleven Halloween movies, twelve  Friday the 13ths, seven  Nightmares on Elm Street, etc., a YouTuber and horror fan named Nick Amideo has created a terrific horror movie mashup to enjoy. One which is absolutely perfect to get one in the mood for the spooky season. And it’s all synced to the tune of the ultimate pop music ode to all things scary, Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”

At over seven minutes long, the video features scenes going back to the days of the Universal monsters of the 1930s, right up to the recent horror flicks of today like The Woman in Black. Non-scary (yet iconic) horror-adjacent movies like Ghostbusters and The Rocky Horror Picture Show get a nod too. Also included are Disney’s contributions to the holiday with the original animated Legend of Sleepy Hollow and, of course, The Nightmare Before Christmas. And if you listen carefully, and there’s also a bit of narration by the “Ghost Host” from Disney’s Haunted Mansion attraction as well. Overall, over 100 classic films get a shout-out in this supercut.

Since the video was made a few years back, it might need an update. We’d love to see Pennywise from the modern version of Stephen King’s It, not to mention Sam from Trick ‘r Treat. And then there’s The Haunting of Hill House, American Horror Story…. the list goes on. Maybe it’s actually time for an entirely new sequel video? We’d consider that a treat and definitely not a trick!
