Many Fast and the Furious fans were, say, less than happy when it was revealed that Dwayne Johnson’s US Diplomatic Security Agent Luke Hobbs would be teaming up with Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw, the man who killed the team’s beloved Han Seoul-Oh (Sung Kang). So we’ll be interested to see how Hobbs and Shaw—which dropped its first trailer Friday morning—lands. Though if you’re just here for the action and two very muscly tough guys, then it seems like you’re in luck.

Written by Fast and the Furious stalwart Chris Morgan and directed by John Wick’s David Leitch, who most recently helmed Atomic Blonde and Deadpool 2, Hobbs and Shaw certainly looks to be as action-packed as anything else in the Fast and Furious franchise, and with the added bonus of Idris Elba. He shows up as the villain that inspires the unlikely team-up, making this trailer a Twitter thirst post waiting to happen. Hobbs and Shaw looks like it’ll be playing off the differences between its leads whilst still forcing them to fight a lot of bad guys together.

The big question, though, is will we get #JusticeForHan? Or will the series rewrite that history to turn Statham’s Deckard Shaw into a more clear cut (anti)hero rather than the villain he was when fans first met him? We’ll have to wait until August 2 to find out, and until then, we’ll be keeping our eyes on these two unlikely allies.
