Netflix has become the place for all things Eternian. It’s the home of Kevin Smith’s Masters of the Universe: Revelation, and the upcoming live-action film. And it’s also where the kid-friendly He-Man and the Masters of the Universe animated series lives too. The CGI animated show was a fresh take on the MOTU mythos, aimed at a new generation of fans.
And now season two of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is about to drop. All-new characters join the cast too—some with names very familiar to longtime fans. You can watch the season two trailer, and read the official description below:
The synopsis states:
In order to save Grayskull from destruction at the hands of Skeletor and his mind-controlled royal army, He-Man takes the castle to the distant safety of the aerial kingdom of Aviaon. There, brash braggadocio King Stratos believes he and he alone can lead the Masters to victory. Meanwhile, Teela, Ork-O, and King Randor rally a resistance against Lord Skeletor. But in order for Teela to gain any ground with her impending insurrection, she and her team will need to win over the king of “the world below,” the multi-faceted Man-E-Faces.
“But one throne and crown aren’t enough for Skeletor. He’s set his sights on using his royal resources to unearth the long-lost Sigil of Hssss. The legendary King Hssss himself used this artifact to lead an army of the undead. The race to save Eternia from Skeletor’s total conquest begins from both above and below. So Prince Adam and He-Man will need to learn some hard lessons about how to be a leader. And how great the cost of victory can sometimes truly be.”
Adding the vocal talents to the proceedings this season are Stephen Fry as Man-E-Faces, Zeno Robinson as Stratos, Dee Bradley Baker as Webstor, and Bobcat Goldthwait as Gary the Dragonfly. Season two of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe premieres worldwide Thursday, March 3 on Netflix.
