GEN V Trailer Brings Blood, Secrets, and THE BOYS’ Vibes to College

Welcome to Godolkin University! The Boys universe is expanding to college with Gen V, a spinoff series hitting Prime Video on September 29. The series will follow college age supes who are learning how to become “heroes” (using that term loosely because, well, Homelander exists) through competitive training. We get to see a glimpse of that and darker secrets lurking beneath this esteemed university’s surface in a full Gen V trailer. It brings the blood, the gore, the powers, the one-liners, and much more.

Our main girl is Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair), a Godolkin student who could become the first top-ranked freshman in history. She’s set her goals even higher than this, desiring to be the first Black woman in the Seven. Marie discovers that there’s something amiss at her new school. Or, as she eloquently puts it in the Gen V trailer, everything is f**ked. We can all rest assured that we’re in the world of The Boys at this point. We see secret experiments, slaughtered bodies, sex, and apparently, Marie exploded someone’s private part. It is a glorious ending.

Here’s an official synopsis to further bring together what we see in the Gen V trailer:

From the world of The Boys comes Gen V, which explores the training of the first generation of superheroes to know about Compound V, and that their powers were injected into them, rather than God-given. These young, competitive heroes put their physical and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the school’s highly coveted top ranking. They quickly come to learn that ambition comes with sacrifice, and the difference between right and wrong is not as clear as they once believed. When the university’s dark secrets come to light, the students must come to grips with what type of heroes they are going to become.

Gen V also stars Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Marco Pigossi. And, we will see familiar faces from The Boys in Gen V like A-Train (Jesse T. Usher), Ashley (Colby Minifie), Adam Bourke (P.J. Byrne), and Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit).

As we already know, Victoria Neuman is incredibly dangerous, powerful, and set to be the major villain of The Boys season four. She shares something in common with Marie as a former Red River Institute resident, except she’s been using her powers to literally and politically bust heads. We can’t wait until class is in session and the “We Gotta Go Now” comic arc begins.
