Get ready for another Dungeons & Dragons video game. Gameloft, the creators of the delightful life sim Disney Dreamlight Valley, is partnering with Wizards of the Coast for a Dungeons & Dragons game for PC and consoles. If it’s anything at all like Dreamlight Valley, we’re all in and ready to spend dozens of hours playing. The game takes place in the Forgotten Realms universe, which likely means all kinds of gorgeous locations. It’s a hybrid of survival, life simulation, and action RPG. We’d be happy with a straightforward D&D life sim, but we’ll take this combo.

Gameloft says players can expect an adventure where the rich lore of the D&D franchise meets real-time survival in a unique campaign of resilience, camaraderie, and danger at nearly every turn. Dungeons & Dragons often brings monsters to slay and problems to solve. Playing the roleplaying game isn’t as fun without all those stakes. So, it makes sense that a video game would bring some of that to its narrative. Gameloft also notes the D&D game will have “unique cooperative gameplay.”

Gameloft executive producer at Gameloft Montreal Lee Kaburis said in a statement, “We are honored to partner with Wizards of the Coast to deliver a completely new experience in the Dungeons & Dragons universe. We are all big fans of D&D and are already hard at work bringing our concept to life, including growing our team, and we look forward to sharing more details in the future.”

No word yet on a release window. Until we get more news, we’ll just stare longingly at the stunning key art and imagine the adventures ahead.
