Everything Coming to HULU in October

Welcome to our new look Everything Coming to Streaming column where each month we’ll run down the best of what’s hitting your fave streaming channel! This month, Hulu is offering up a whole bunch of brilliant horror movies for you to feast on this Halloween. From cult classics to torture porn, revenge thrillers to supernatural scares there’s something for everyone.

Skinless Frank Cotton menaces KirstyNew World Pictures

Clive Barker’s brilliantly brutal and utterly unique exploration of pain, pleasure, and everything in between is heading to Hulu this Halloween season alongside two of its better sequels. If you’ve never ventured into the world of the Cenobites, then grab some popcorn, a stiff drink, and your favorite leather outfit because they have such sights to show you.

Billy the puppet from SawLionsgate Pictures

Another fan favorite franchise is headed to Hulu with the addition of Saw, Saw II, and Saw VI. The spectacularly silly, series began with one of the best psychological thrillers ever put to screen and quickly descended into total terror and ridiculous kills. One of the funniest ways to enjoy fall whilst also getting some serious scares in, is to do this triple bill—and you better hope Billy doesn’t come knocking for you.

Tales from the Darkside: The Movie

Paramount Pictures

If you’re an ’80s baby, you’ve probably already enjoyed this anthology horror masterpiece from John Harrison that stars Debbie Harry, Christian Slater, and a bunch more Hollywood hotties from the era. From a mysterious mummy all the way through to a crazed cat, check out these short films, which are presented as stories told by a young boy trying to stop a witch from cooking and eating him in an unassuming American suburb.

The Orphanage

The OrphanageWarner Bros.

If you enjoy a good ghost story then make sure you check this 2007 gem out. From director J. A. Bayona (who is about to take on Middle-earth for Amazon) this is a stone-cold chiller centering around the titular orphanage and the ghostly inhabitants.

What Lies Beneath

Michelle Pfeiffer and Harrison Ford in What Lies BeneathDreamworks

Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer star in this haunting thriller about the trauma and travails of marriage and a possible possession. Spooky, sexy, and very, very ’00s this is one of the best-underrated flicks that the genre has to offer.
