You wouldn’t dare leave E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial behind, would you? We didn’t think so. It’s up to you to help the lost being get home in Funko Games’ upcoming E.T. board game. E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial: Light Years From Home Game throws you into the mix to keep E.T. away from federal agents and on the route home. You’ll work together with your fellow players to help make E.T. safe in this cooperative adventure. In the latest installment of How to Play, host Becca Scott will take you out of this world and show you the ropes of E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial: Light Years From Home Game.

First of all, if you don’t have Reese’s Pieces on hand to snack on while you play, what are you even doing? It’s true that having the candy doesn’t affect gameplay at all. However, it also doesn’t hurt.

When you’re ready to play, jump on your bicycle. You’ll play as Elliott, Gertie, Michael, or Greg. The game involves navigating your neighborhood using every shortcut and trick you can to evade the pursuing federal agents. Along the way, you collect items for E.T. to build a communications device with. Then, you have to help E.T. to the clearing before his heartlight fades. He can get to his ship from there. You “fly” the mothership around the board until it rescues E.T.
