Now that the MCU has opened the doors to infinite parallel worlds wide open, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness can introduce anyone and anything from wherever it wants. And a new teaser for the movie does just that. The latest look at Marvel’s next big-screen installment features some terrifying new glimpses at what awaits in the franchise’s first horror film. From a giant beast and a deadly Scarlet Witch, this promo pushes the entire MCU closer to chaos. So it’s a good thing it appears that yet another Stephen Strange variant is joining the fight.

The newest Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness teaser trailer, titled “Fate,” offers more new scenes and insights than we’d expect from a 30-second ad this close to the film’s release date. That includes more from Doctor Strange and Wanda Maximoff’s previously teased bucolic talk.

But the most shocking moments include the presence of a giant beast. That terrifying creature looks like the very large father of Ghostbusters‘ Terror Dogs. Only this monster is 10 times deadlier. Despite Wong’s initial fear, though, it looks like the monsters may join the good side of this fight. It’s seen battling with Wong and Scarlet Witch later in the teaser. (Considering its red eyes, is it possible that the beast is a Wanda creation? Or is it even wilder than that: is it a Wanda Variant from a monster dimension?)

It’s not all good news, however. This trailer suggests Wanda and Wong won’t always be fighting together the entire time. Some version of Wanda seems to be responsible for the attack on Kamar-Taj. But even if that’s exactly what is happening, it might not be what it seems. It’s possible a good Wanda is burning down an evil collection of sorcerers from a bad universe.

Finally, this Doctor Strange trailer might have given us yet another Doctor Strange variant. We covered every Doctor Strange variant we know or think might appear in the film. But not one of them wears the color scheme of the Stephen Strange seen jumping out of a broken store window onto the hood of a New York City cab. Who is Blue Strange? What world is this happening in? And who caused the chaos around him?

We won’t know until Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness releases in theaters on May 6. All we know is when it does anything and anything will be possible.
