Fans of the Disney theme parks are among the most devoted in the world. Those of us who are devotees collect all kinds of memorabilia related to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, but one Disney Parks fan has taken his love to entirely new heights. Thanks to The Disney Blog, we’ve learned about a man named Travis Larson, who built a mini recreation of Fantasyland from Disneyland in his own basement. You can check out a video tour of what is surely the “Happiest Basement on Earth” down below.
This Disney-themed basement is inspired by the Alpine village look of Fantasyland from Disneyland in Anaheim, and not Magic Kingdom in Orlando, so there are facades that reference attractions and restaurants unique to Anaheim’s park, like Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride and the Pinocchio Village Haus eatery. The owner even went as far as having recorded crowd sounds and queue music, all for full authenticity. And like any good Disney park, there are plenty of park benches to be found. All that’s missing is the churro stand.Images: Disney / Travis Larson
