If you grew up in a certain generation, the refrain “And you’re watching Disney Channel” evokes a strong sense memory. Alongside the wash of after-school television nostalgia, you probably remember a sparkly wand that let you favorite Disney Channel actors draw mouse ears in the air. Yes, the Disney Channel Wand commercials, which featured every Disney Channel star under the sun, were certainly an iconic set of ads. But alas, these days, Disney Channel is no more. Instead, we have Disney+ to house some of our old Disney Channel favorites. But that doesn’t mean the Disney wand is gone. In celebration of Deadpool & Wolverine‘s release, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman brought the Disney wand back… and also reminded us that Reynolds was once a Disney TV star himself. (Of course, they found time to mock Green Lantern as well; the Disney wand has many uses.)

Take a look at Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s take on the “and you’re watching Disney channel” commercials of yore below… it was really a mistake to let Deadpool and Wolverine run wild with the Disney wand.

This Disney wand featurette is bonus content that comes with the digital release of Deadpool & Wolverine, which hit digital channels on October 1. In addition to this delight, other Deadpool & Wolverine special features include deleted scenes and a particularly hilarious skit of Deadpool reviewing merchandise of himself, heavy on the butt commentary. You can read all about Deadpool & Wolverine‘s digital release (and watch that skit), here.

In the meanwhile, in addition to the Disney wand action and the heavy dose of sparkles, this Deadpool & Wolverine bonus feature takes us specifically back to 1998. It reminds us that Ryan Reynolds starred in a Disney original movie, Tourist Trap, way back when. There, he also played a character named Wade! What are the odds? We guess we’ll have to complete the trip down memory lane with that flick. Hey, we can watch it on Disney+.

Of course, though Hugh Jackman didn’t have the honor of being in Tourist Trap, he gets the last laugh. In a very snarky Deadpool & Wolverine fashion, Jackman uses his Disney wand to give Reynolds a Green Lantern mask. Very mature, guys!
