Sometimes an Academy Award is able to shine a light on a deserving artist that may not yet have had too much of the spotlight on them. That seems to be exactly what has happened to CODA‘s Troy Kotsur. Kotsur’s Best Supporting Actor Oscar win has led fans to learn more about his time in Hollywood. That includes how he’s a proud alum of Star Wars who helped develop the Tusken Raiders’ own sign language. But as he showed in his performance in this year’s Best Picture winner, he’s at his best when he’s not wearing a mask. And his many talents were on full display in a video from VarietyKotsur reenacted famous movie scenes from The GodfatherJaws, The Empire Strikes Back, and The Graduate.

But his take on some infamous “advice” for women in business might be his best work of them all.

Clearly, Troy Kotsur is a national treasure and we are all behind on acknowledging that indisputable fact. Because while CODA was enough to show just how good a performer he is, this montage reveals how many roles he can pull off. You don’t have to know sign language to see the emotion, power, and humor he can express. And considering he’s bringing all of that to some of Hollywood’s most famous moments ever makes it even that much more impressive.

That’s not all he can do though. Kotsur can also transform something ugly into something we enjoy. Like his take on Kim Kardashian’s recent stint of advice-giving. Kotsur managed to turn something ridiculous into comedy gold, a true proof of skill and craft.

And for that, we really must thank the Academy. Thank you for rightfully bestowing an Oscar on Troy Kotsur so we can see how very brightly he shines.
