I don’t exactly associate trips to Chipotle with feeling my most glamorous. So the news that the burrito chain has decided to go into the makeup business? It breeds skepticism, yes, but admittedly also great curiosity. And frankly, a bit of awe. They who saw a jam-packed burrito bowl and thought, “With this tapestry will I propel my face to glory”? Such was perhaps the most inspired thinker of our time.

Casual dining emporium Chipotle Mexican Grill has teamed with e.l.f. Cosmetics to develop a new makeup line; we first caught wind of the story via a report at  BuzzFeed. The beauty products in question all hark back to the burrito joint’s most popular menu items. For instance, you’ve got an eyeshadow palette with a range of tones evoking burrito bowl ingredients. This product comprises 13 edible muses. (Lettuce, guac, corn salsa, green salsa, mild salsa, hot salsa, pinto beans, black beans, white rice, brown rice, sofritas, fajitas.)

Also included in the line: Make It Hot lip gloss (inspired by Chipotle’s spicy and tangy salsa option); a makeup sponge set resembling an avocado; and a makeup bag resembling a tortilla chip. The new makeup line is available to buy right now over at e.l.f. Cosmetics’ website. They run the less expensive end of the typical spectrum, perhaps in keeping with Chipotle’s affordable dining milieu.

At present, my emotions feel as mixed as a side of greens. Admittedly, I must chuckle at the idea of dabbing an avocado on my face in the interest of flawless finish. But then again, Chipotle and e.l.f. have drummed up some pretty decent-looking eyeshadow hues. And thirdly, I’m starting to get hungry. The yearning to look hot and the yearning to eat a veggie taco. Always you wrestle inside me.
