Frito Lay‘s newest product somehow feels both overdue and right on time. It’s a crossover that is so logical we can’t believe it doesn’t already exist. However, it’s exactly what a weary world needs in 2020.

The company is combining its beloved snack with one of the great comfort foods for a dangerously cheesy meal: Cheetos Mac ‘n Cheese.

Cheetos is making its way to the pasta aisle with its very own line of macaroni and cheese (which we first heard about at CandyHunting). It features “the same bold and intense flavor experience of regular Cheetos,” with different options for different palates.

Hungry consumers will be able to purchase in three varieties: Bold & Cheesy, Flamin’ Hot, and Cheesy Jalapeño. Each is “made with authentic Cheetos cheesiness using Chester’s Top-Secret Seasoning.” The corkscrew-shaped noodles are also inspired by Chester Cheetah’s tail.

“We’ve seen incredible culinary creativity from our Cheetos fans through the years, taking our product and using as an actual ingredient in recipes—whether at restaurants, or now more than ever, at home,” said Rachel Ferdinando, SVP, CMO Frito-Lay North America, in a statement. “Cheetos Mac ‘n Cheese borrows that culinary inspiration to provide a mischievous mashup of an ordinary fan favorite. We’re putting our orange-dusted fingerprints on an at-home staple at a time when home mealtime occasions are on the rise.”

Cheetos Mac ‘n Cheese will be first be sold exclusively at Walmart, in stores and online. All three flavors will come in both 5.7 ounce boxes and smaller, single serving cups. Each size comes with a suggested retail price of  just $.98 cents. They will then be available at other retailers nationwide starting in 2021.

Officially, they will be available starting August 8. However, they’re already appearing in some stores. And Walmart’s website already has them listed too. Thankfully.

Cheetos Mac ‘n Cheese is already long overdue. And we really need it right now.
