The crossover event of 1966 is finally making its way to comic book stores everywhere in 2018, as the Riverdale gang from Archie Comics is meeting the Caped Crusaders of Gotham City in Archie Meets Batman ’66 #1!

The two American icons finally meet when Veronica’s father Mr. Lodge becomes the Bright Knight’s latest enemy, forcing Batman and Robin to take the Batmobile all the way to Riverdale, U.S.A. The new mini-series is coming to us from writers Jeff Parker and Michael Morelli, and art from illustrators Dan Parent, J. Bone, Kelly Fitzpatrick, and Jack Morelli, and we have an exclusive preview of some letter pages from the first issue. Co-writer Michael Morelli enthuses, “I really don’t know if it’s possible to have any more fun working on a comic than the team is having. Blending these amazing worlds is so seamless, and it’s been joyful matching the sensibilities of classic Archie with Adam West Batman. We’re all having a great time, and I think that really shows in every page.”

Co-author Jeff Parker echoes Morelli’s excitement, adding “This is really issue after issue of Michael and I being shocked at how well Batman and his villains fit into the world of Archie Andrews, then watching the mighty art force that is Dan and Jason just rock out with the whole concept.”
