Saucy Gloss is the latest crossover between food and makeup. It’s impossible not to lick your lips when eating chicken wings. And those of us who wear lip gloss know it can be tasty and tempting as well, even if it is makeup. Now we get the best of both worlds. Applebee’s getting spicy with new lip gloss in four chicken wing sauce-inspired flavors! Chicken wing lip gloss. It’s real and it’s here.

And because naming makeup and nail polish remains one of the best jobs out there, the fours flavors some with some fun names: Get Me Hot Buffalo, Sweet Chile Kiss, Be My Honey Pepper, and Honey BBQ-T.  Winky Lux sells the gloss for $18 each or all four for $65.

We found out about the shimmery new products thanks to Seattle Pi. The mashup comes with its own song, “Taste My Face.” Applebee’s released a full-length music video (above) reminiscent of the Fanta song that’s still in my head a decade later. In it, four couples meet up for first dates, which is apparently something the casual dining restaurant chain is known for. The male dates seem to have no idea what to make of the whole thing. But at least the ladies wearing the lip gloss clearly get a boost in confidence from the unconventional makeup!

The chicken wing lip glosses come with one real warning (not for eating) and a lot of silly ones. Like “Warning: Lips may be ultra-kissable after use” or “Unexpected Result: Your date will wanna taste your face.” Having “craveable lips for saucier make-out seshs” sounds like a fun perk.

Since A&W released a chicken tender lip balm last year, we’ve been waiting for a BBQ sauce one to go with it. Our moment has arrived thanks to Applebee’s lip gloss! There’s also makeup kits containing eye shadow and lip gloss from Reese’s peanut butter cup and Chipotle. What’s your favorite shade?
