Enjoy the Hallucinogenic Trailer for ALL JACKED UP AND FULL OF WORMS

I got a chance to see Alex Phillips’ new film All Jacked Up and Full of Worms at Fantasia Fest in July. With a title like that alone, you know you’re in for something unique. I don’t think I or any of the people in the theater fully understood just how singular a movie like this truly is. You might be thinking “the title is a metaphor, right?” No. It’s not a metaphor. It’s legitimately about people “doing worms,” which, in this world, are a wild hallucinogen. Now you too can get a hit of weirdness with our exclusive look at the new trailer.

All Jacked Up and Full of Worms is definitely a gross-out drug-taking body horror movie for the COVID-19 world we are experiencing right now. Everything is a bit crappy, nothing’s very good, you may as well go eat worms. It perfectly encapsulates the kind of millennial nihilism in which we find ourselves. While the world falls apart around us, we may as well lose our minds. As dark and squalid as the events of the movie are, and as sort of repugnant as most of the characters are, Phillips and the cast make everything so much fun.

The movie will play at Fantastic Fest next week before heading to horror streaming service Screambox on November 8. It will then have a brief digital release window before heading to Cinedigm’s service Fandor thereafter. If you like your drug movies scary or your horror movies trippy, this is the movie for you. As I said in my review, All Jacked Up and Full of Worms is the weirdest movie you have to see.
