An R2D2 Cake

An R2D2 cake? That has all the sounds and everything? Made from chocolate mud cakes? YES PLEASE:

Boing Boing‘s Cory Doctorow points us to this gem, made for a guy’s birthday. It was made by the folks at Stacked Cakes in Canberra, Australia, and it’s all kinds of awesome. The only thing is that you wouldn’t want to cut into it and ruin the awesomeness. (Click that link and you’ll not only find all the pictures in the video but you’ll also have links to templates if you want to try this for yourself)

  1. James says:

@Dave: Maybe not original but informative as I had no idea what was being discussed. Ty.

  2. Dave says:

Oh wait, that’s what everyone else already wrote. My comment was not original after all.

  3. Dave says:

Recall the Comedy Bang Bang episode where Cake Boss describes creating an R2D2 cake that was so life like it gained sentience and had to be destroyed? Now I’m not saying that this youtube video will definitely lead to the destruction of mankind, but you can never be too careful. If you spot some cake then for the good of humanity you must eat it!

  4. John says:

Don’t put too much cinnamon! His cries of beeps and boops while you eat his cakey flesh will haunt your memory. Cake Boss!

  5. Mistletoe says:

@Brian: All my internets, sir. First thing I thought.

  6. Brian says:

    is it sentient? ca-ca-ca-ca-cake boss!

  7. Patti says:

So amazing! I belong to a cake decorating group online, and I’ve seen some really amazing cakes, but this one, complete with sounds, is truly awesome.
