It’s the end of the year, and you know what that means! @midnight has entertained you for a whole year (which is really freaking awesome), and we wanted to make sure that you felt like you got to see all the best things. Here are a collection of our favorite LOL and ROFLMAO moments of 2014 just in case you missed them. (But really why did you miss them?)
As you know, Tinder was kind of a thing this year, and frankly, when you put Martin Starr in the role of “creepy Tinderer” and pair him up with Maria Bamford, James Adomian, and Eddie Pepitone, well, it’s just going to be uncomfortable and weird in the best way possible. They eventually work in F*ck, Marry, Kill. Needless to say, it just gets better.

One of our favorite #hashtagwars was all the way back in March. You might think that you have a dirty mind when it comes to famous people, but you have nothing on the Sister Wives, Wil Wheaton and Mr. Hardwick when it comes to #FilthyCelebrities.

Aisha Tyler and Chris Hardwick in costume, impersonating…um…Valley Girls, we think. They talked Hello Kitty Con, and exchanged some New Yorkisms during the New York Comedy Fest week that brought the show to the East Coast. And maybe there were jokes about Chris’s burning self respect when it came to a certain blonde songstress? Maybe?

Speaking of costumes, there is just something magical about our fearless leader when he sports a wizard hat. When a (probably? maybe?) well-meaning mom decided to give Harry Potter a Christian rewrite because she thought her kids might become witches if they read it, it was just too good a moment to pass up. Did you know Chris does impressions of Harry Potter? He does!

A personal favorite of the year for this writer was actually just last week. If you grew up watching game shows on TV like I did, you had to question just how reliable those buttons on the podiums really were. According to Alex Borstein they are not reliable. Not. At. All.

The show is pretty special because it gets to comment on current events in a downright profane manner each and every night. You couldn’t really get through 2014 without learning a lot about Ebola, and thanks to @midnight, you now know it looks like Mickey Mouse. That is some seriously wack marketing on Disney’s part, don’t you think?

And finally, the pièce de résistance of possibly the entire year was the incredible reunion of the cast and characters of Reno 911. What made this episode truly special was not just a bunch of actors we all really love getting together and having some fun for a half hour, but the dedication said actors had to their beloved characters. If you missed this episode, well, we just feel sorry for you.

And that’s it for all our favorite moments of 2014 on @midnight. The show will be back in 2015, and we cannot wait to see (and tell you about) all the hijinks that will inevitably ensue in the new year.
New Years Eve resolutions: Have a few belly laughs with these clips. Fall down a YouTube hole of watching the rest of these episodes. Make sure you follow the show on Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram and Facebook. And tune in next year for all new episodes!
I watched each and every single episode. Some more than once. I didn’t miss a thing. Keep up the great work guys
Sweet jesus everything loads at once. How annoying.
