AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3 Adds The SECRET WARRIORS

Skye has a secret, but it won’t be a secret for long!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3 is set to introduce characters from Marvel’s Secret Warriors comic book series. Created by writers Brian Michael Bendis and Jonathan Hickman in 2008, Secret Warriors had a 25-issue run. The comic book counterpart of Skye, Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet), was a member of the Secret Warriors team that included Druid, Phobos, Slingshot, Stonewall, and Hellfire.

Secret Warriors 2
The Secret Warriors were the offspring of superhumans (and one God) who were recruited by Nick Fury to be his loyal, off-the-books agents after he left S.H.I.E.L.D. behind. The second season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. seeded this idea by implying that Fury and Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) had stashed superpowered individuals around the world.

A more formal announcement about the Secret Warriors is expected to come during the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. panel at San Diego Comic-Con, which will take place on Friday, July 10 at 3:00 PM in Ballroom 20. All fans in attendance at Comic-Con will also have a chance to track down “S.H.I.E.L.D. ambassadors” using the @AgentsOfSHIELD twitter account to get limited edition Secret Warriors pins.

Once a Secret Warriors pin has been given to them, the fans will be invited to post a picture of themselves wearing the pin using the #SHIELDSecretWarriors hashtag. The cast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will then pick their favorite photos, which will be posted to the show’s official Twitter account.
