A STAR WARS Holiday Tune from Chris Hardwick and James Corden

It’s the most special time of the year! Some might even call it the “most holy time of the year.” No, not Christmas — we get to celebrate that one every year — but rather a holiday we haven’t had in a decade: a new Star Wars movie. So to celebrate the most sacred of nerd holidays, Nerdist’s very own squad leader, Chris Hardwick, joined James Corden on The Late Late Show to sing a noel to help us all get into The Force Awakens spirit.

With Chewbacca on the piano and a Stormtrooper on the cello, Corden and Chris sang a Star Wars holiday song parody, set to the music of “The Christmas Song,” reminding us about what’s really important to remember this holiday season: like how Han definitely shot first.

And every nerd will burst with all the feels
To hear the Dark Side? the Jedi? They are real

If you are a real Scrooge and/or having a tough time getting excited for either Christmas or The Force Awakens, remember, “As the saying goes, ‘Do or do not, there is no try.'”

No matter your own beliefs or home planet, when it comes to Star Wars there’s a message that transcends them all.

And so we’re offering this simple phrase
(For whom James?)
For fans from Endor to Naboo
Although it’s been said many times, many ways
May the Force be
May the Force be
May the Force be with you

What’s your favorite line of the song? Sing it to us in the comments below and help get into the spirit of the season.
