A-List Actors Killed in Horror Films Before They Were Household Names

We all have to start somewhere, right? Some climb their way to the top of a company after starting in the mail room. Some dishwashers eventually become head chefs. It’s the same in Hollywood except that sometimes in order to eventually make it big, you have to die early on.

The super-cut by YouTube channel Films Against Humanity gives us a sampling of some well known actors meeting their demise in slasher films early in their careers. It serves as a pretty good reminder that the business can be the death of you. Some of our favorite gory films from the ’80s featured before-they-were-famous faces pitted against weapon wielding psychopaths or demonic beings from beyond. The video includes the gruesome deaths of characters played by Kevin Bacon, Mickey Rourke, Fisher Stevens, Johnny Depp, Crispin Glover, George Clooney, and Julianne Moore.

These parts were early steps in all their careers and lead to wonderful things even for Fisher Stevens (I’m talking Short Circuit, NOT Hackers). Without these roles we as an audience would likely be without some substantial actors, not to mention knowing just how much blood is in your average full size mattress and the proper way to stuff flowers into someone’s back.

This got us thinking: there are undoubtedly actors currently in film and TV that we barely notice at the moment but will be huge names in the Hollywood of the future. We wonder who they are.

What are your favorite slasher film deaths of actors before they were famous? Did the video miss any? Let us know in the comments below!
