Zoetropic Thunder

My dear friend Divya send me this vid from Austin-based band The Octopus Project. This may well be one of the most nerdily genius promotional ideas EVER.

If you purchase the band’s new record (yes, RECORD) Hexadecagon, you get a dandy zoetrope kit which turns the spinning LP into a Victorian animated wonderland.

Plus, the video is effing HILARIOUS. Well done, The Octopus Project!

Very nice. Reminded me of the opening bit from The Album of the Soundtrack of the Trailer of the Film of Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
