  3. Gwen says:

    Awesome episode.

  4. Taggart Snyder says:

Jesus, he sure hates the Bush family. They weren’t my favorite presidents, but give it a rest. Evidently, he doesn’t think we’re more fucked up now since the current CinC has a (D) after his name.

  5. Gabe says:

to petes opening comments about not being able to find his stuff on the nerdest site … its not just you … this site is overly complicated to navigate.

  6. Gimli says:

Just in case anyone wants to peep the Onion article that Patton referenced as one of his hardest laughs:,294/

  7. Jessi says:

I’m sitting in my empty office weeping while listening to this podcast. I cannot believe I am hearing these thoughts come from a man. It takes so much effort, strength, and compassion to attempt to understand these concepts. Trying to understand the experience of any other person is one of the most difficult feats and to even try is incredible. As soon as you contemplated the chance that you might not listen to your wife as well as you could because she’s female, you became a superhero in my mind. Even if you disregard that thought as bullshit eventually, to consider the possibility and what that would mean, takes shocking strength of character.

  8. Great Scott says:

    2 words: hot topic!

  9. Josh says:

Loved the ep, Patton is awesome, bummed they didn’t talk about Badman penguin

  10. seadydawg says:

CNN Quoted Patton discussing Cosby from podcast. Pete, you are reaching the masses!

  11. Jordan says:

The Lean Cuisine thing was thought up by George Lois, the guy famous for all of the old Esquire covers (Ali etc)!

  12. Elle says:

I respect and appreciate Patton so much. What a well-educated and vocal comic. We need more like him.

  13. anony says:

This was a hilarious and insightful episode! Both were so on point about so many topics!

  14. btothek says:

So glad I made it here. whew!

  15. Max says:

Pretty much first time podcast listener here — just got into You Made it Weird after realizing that my problem with Serial was that there was murder where I typically like funny things to be.

About 30 hours of this podcast later and I’m a fanatic. God, I love ya Pete. Thanks for doing what you do, this is my therapy.

  16. dave says:

    this was excellent…enjoyed every second.

  17. Melissa says:

I love this episode so much. So earnest. I want to share this episode when I tell people “You have to start listening to podcasts!”

  18. Maddie says:

I completely agree with Pete about this podcast being hidden on the site! So glad he brought this up.
I use as my #1 example of GREAT content / UX + design letdown (I’m a content strategist, I don’t have examples just to be a dick). The tagging system seems off – when I search ‘pete holmes’ to find it quickly, this podcast doesn’t come up. Clicking on the ‘podcasts’ tab is pretty overwhelming.
Really interested to know the reasons for the current layout and functionality. Is the main idea to push underdog podcasts rather than having a hub for favorites?

  19. lalabandypants says:

From the bottom of my heart, Patton, thank you. I’ve been a fan of your comedy for years, YEARS! :) But the way you’ve spoken out on rape culture lately, the way you’ve listened — I’ve become a super fan. You talking about these issues & so thoughtfully — very powerful. If I can speak for my sisters everywhere, you make us feel seen, truly seen, and it is a great gift.

  20. Kat says:

Does anyone know the book that Patton mentioned having read about multiple realities?

  21. Joe says:

    Another solid pod Petey!

  22. Vera Schränkung says:

That was intensely wonderful.  Two hours of two of the most earnest guys in comedy (and damn, do I love earnest) hashing it out and talking racism, rape, personal development and ergonomics (Pete’s high pitched “staaaaanding deeeesk” made me laugh really hard for no discernible reason)and somehow making it funny and entertaining.

  23. ghurgh says:

Hey Patton, it’s Charlie. Where did you put the toe nail clippers? I thought they were by the q-tips, but Michelle says you used them last.

  24. Tommy says:

The player isn’t loading for this one. I really want to listen to it.

  25. Megan says:

This episode blew my dick off.

  26. Dan says:

hey, who was the garrett Kaiser author that Patton mentioned. I can’t find him on the googles

  27. Mark says:

DeRosa answering the phone was good radio!

  28. Roboburgers says:

There is quite a healthy scene in Baltimore right now.  It’s great!

  29. Sheila says:

This was a great episode! Patton is always interesting and hilarious!

  30. Brian says:

“…I Qurant put it down.” Good one. lol

  31. Gordon says:

    Shut every dick.
