  1. Haley says:

Hey pete! Really loved this episode! I think you should try and get father john misty on the podcast one day. I don’t know if you’ve heard of him, but you should at least listen to him music if you haven’t. It’s really beautiful! I do t know him personally, but I’m going to say he likes the topics you like to talk about! Think about it!

  2. A Real Idea Man says:

Pete: Can I suggest “A Very Special Episode of YMIW” where your brother interviews Matt’s brother?

  3. Gibs says:

I loved Pete trying to sound nonchalant during the moderately awkward presentation of the wine. We all know that feeling.

  4. baroquenj says:

You should have Dan Savage (Savage Love) on the podcast.

  5. Fartbooty says:

    Have you beaten Bioshock Infinite?

  6. Maria C. says:

My friend Kathy almost puked she was laughing so hard during your set. You looked great and I had fun despite myself. I plan on going to see you perform again, if not go to a taping. Congratulations!

  7. G says:

Surprised that all 3 people in the room believe that Nirvana’s ‘Dumb’ was on Nevermind!

  8. Heather says:

I ❤️ being a weirdo! I make it weird every day at 3:30AM. I think I’ve heard every episode now. I need more new episodes to maintain my weird equilibrium.

  9. gigi lollo says:

“Leave more heaven around, you dumb shits!”

  10. Spencer says:

I loved this episode so much! Such a good conversation, very well-paced and natural. Glad to have this podcast back in my life.

  11. Jesse says:

So many MY WIFE’s left up in the air!

  12. kevin says:

The funniest part of this episode was Pete saying he doesn’t “get” sports, then shortly after that explaining how he “gets” people’s excitement about game 6.

6? Perfect example of not getting sports, or math for that matter. I laughed, alone, for at least 20 seconds.

  13. Alex says:

I love that Matt is making the rounds with my favorite podcasts. It makes me so happy.

  14. Job says:

Oh, just found out about the renewal of the Pete Holmes Show. Congratulations, Pete! Looking forward to many more weeks of awesome podcasts and show. What is this, the best?!

  15. Job says:

Another great episode. Not only was I saying “MY WIFE!” in my head every time Matt talked about his wife, but I was waiting for a “fuckin’ a” after all of Matt’s profound comments on spirituality and heaven/hell. And when that “fuckin’ a” finally made an appearance (spoiler alert), it was so unbelievably satisfying.

Which is not unlike the appearance of this episode…absence making the heart grow fonder in the face of all these holidays and everything. Thanks, Petey. Shockingly, this still is a free podcast–people can download this stuff for free. Looking forward to a great 2014.

  16. Maria C. says:

I am looking forward to seeing you on the 9th! Hope this posts, the last one didn’t.

Every time Matt says, “my wife,” I want to shout “My WIFE!”

I think the National should do the next bond movie theme.
    It would work.

  21. Carter says:

Yay new Pete! It makes me happy that he can do both the podcast and the show

  22. andrea says:

HIS DEFINITION OF GUILELESS IS CORRECT. k that’s it. the national is amazing.
