  1. drew says:

Nate Bargatze is the funniest human being on the planet. Have him on the show immediately. IMMEDIATELY!!!!!

  2. Tammy says:

You should put a warning label on this one to not listen in public. I just made a made a major ass of myself walking around the grocery store giggling like an idiot. Nate Bargatze was killing me. About to go google-stalk him right now! Love your show Pete, big hugs!

  3. Mandy says:

    Thayer= Lazer!

    love that guy!! :)

  4. Alec says:

    Seriously, John G.

And buy Chris some damn soap.

  5. John G. says:

    Pete,

you have a TV show AAAAAAAND an ad campaign AAAAND you tour all the time. I mean, c’mon. What do you have, $500,000 in the bank right now? Pay for all the damages for the pizza delivery girl.

  6. Steve S says:

Man, dude, Pete, get Nate for the show. The end.

  7. Keith says:

Pete laughing at Nate about not having a talk show because he was married, and about having built a girl he has to keep the rest of his life, reminded me (not for the first time) of this great Disney laugh: http://youtu.be/KLI46yMdtmU?t=32s

  8. Robert Smith says:

Love these live shows. Nate Bargatze would have make Dr. Evil’s dreams come true.

  9. thebest says:

    @whypetewhy beat it

  10. whypetewhy says:

16 minutes in and this is Pete at his most obnoxious ever. Singing horribly and being sad that more fans didn’t bring you gifts aren’t funny, they’re pompous.

  11. Lisa says:

I have said this before and I will say this again, probably a lot. Chris Thayer is the goddamn bees knees. I laugh at everything he says all the time, his laugh is basically the most charming thing in the world, and he is just a pile of human goodness. Sorry I’m not sorry for making this weird.

  12. James says:

Nate Bargatze is one of the funniest people ever. He needs an episode, I love everything he says.

  13. Patty Marvel says:

“Foodie Suicides” could be a band name or an episode title for a sitcom poking fun at “The Virgin Suicides.”

@Pete Holmes – I understand wanting to rid the body of toxins (although pooping and peeing does that nicely as Andy said) and while I’m glad you lost fifty pounds from juicing, that’s just not healthy.

Here’s a quick read on cleansing diets and why they’re unhealthy: http://skeptoid.com/episodes/4335

Do yourself a favor and see a registered dietician – not a “nutritionist,” which may or may not be a regulated profession, but someone who works in a hospital and has the letters “RD” after their name. I’m seeing one at the Cleveland Clinic and, WOW, is she showing me where I go wrong.

Losing weight is great, just don’t hurt yourself in the process.

  14. *Slow Clap?*

    That was Thayer right. Laser!
    It was drowned out though.

  15. Alec says:

I wish I had some opinionated atheists to talk to.

  16. the best says:

how adorable was “googling chords for rainbow connection”

  17. John says:

@Steve I came to the comments to say the exact same thing! AHHHHHHHHHHH!

  18. Steve says:

Nate was awesome. He’s gotta make it weird. Way to go, Nate!

  19. Steve S says:

That guitar stuff was great. The super-overly-out-of-tune backing vocals bit was the best. I feel like that’d be a really good sketch… some guy who wants to be in the spotlight so bad he’s drowning out the lead singer

  20. Patty Marvel says:

@Pete Holmes – Strongly agree with what Kilian said. Even if you never send the letter, pouring out every thought, every feeling onto the page might help exorcise them from you – maybe not completely, but they’ll be out. You keep bringing up the ex which tells me she’s still very much in your head, so get her out of there as much as you can. And then send the letter.

  21. Dave says:

Pro Tip: The trick to making Sweet Tea is adding the sugar while the tea is hot. if you add the sugar after the tea has been chilled, you are drinking sweetened iced tea, which is completely different.

  22. Kilian says:

Pete, I’m an episode late on this, but you should write that letter to your ex. Obviously don’t if you can’t bring yourself to, but I’ve had very valuable experiences from writing letters to important people in my life, and judging by your conversation with Eddie, you have too.

  23. Mark says:

This kidnapping story is so, so reminiscent of The Game. Why isn’t anyone referencing The Game!! Aaaiieee this is killing me
