The day has finally come. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is officially out in the wild, and in the hands of tons of gamers all around the world. It’s already received critical acclaim, which doesn’t come as a surprise considering it came from the brilliant mind of Hideo Kojima. Prior to the game’s release, however, Konami released a prologue to the title called Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes back in March of 2014 on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC.
Seeing as Ground Zeroes serves as the first part of Metal Gear Solid V, we’ve decided to tackle the title in a brand new episode of our What You Missed By Not Playing series. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again for your sake, we spoil absolutely everything about Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes’ plot. So, if you for some reason want to remain in the dark about the prologue because you still plan on playing it, stay as far away as far away from the video as possible.
As the episode explains, the game follows in the wake of the Peace Walker incident. Paz apparently survived her battle with Big Boss, and is found later on after Snake infiltrates Camp Omega to find Chico. What unfolds after the rescue is gruesome, and crucial to understanding The Phantom Pain. To find out what else you missed by not playing Ground Zeroes, feast your eyes on the video at the top of the page.
