With Comic-Con Eve upon us, our resident Nerdist overlord Chris Hardwick is busy prepping for all the panels he’ll be moderating at this year’s event. During that prep, he took a moment to sit down with The Hollywood Reporter to talk about some of the experiences he’s had at the convention over the years… while dressed as Marty McFly. It’s about as excellent as you’d expect it to be:
Chris has been a long time attendee of the convention, and there’s something you have to love about his excitement for the event. You also have to appreciate his attitude toward the whole thing, especially when his first Hall H moderating gig was the year someone got stabbed with a mechanical pencil. We all remember where we were when we heard that one.
As for where you can see Chris this weekend, we’ve compiled this handy dandy list for you:
The Walking Dead panel in Hall H at 12:20pm
@Midnight Live at the Balboa Theater at 10:30pm with Grace Helbig, Brian Posehn, and Steve Agee on the panel (tickets available here)
Warner Brothers panel in Hall H at 10:00am
Nerdist Industries panel in the Indigo Ballroom at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront at 3pm
Marvel Studios panel in Hall H at 5:30pm
Nerdist Podcast Live at Balboa Theatre at 7:30pm and 10:30pm (tickets available here and here)
Sesame Street & Pop Culture: 45 Years of Spoofs on the ‘Street’ in 6A at 10:15am
Sanjay & Craig panel (including TWO live reads with the cast and a Q&A session) in room 6A at 1:00pm
The whole Nerdist team will be floating around the convention center throughout the weekend and to keep track of us (and Chris), all you have to do is bookmark our San Diego Comic-Con splash page, follow @NerdistDotCom on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, and follow Chris himself on Twitter @Nerdist. Do that, and you’ll know exactly what we’re up to all weekend long in San Diego, starting tonight with SDCC Preview Night.
Oh, and check out this awesome poster Chris shot during the interview. Now this is the print we want to get our hands on:
