Ever since the critically acclaimed Moonrise Kingdom left theaters, whatever director Wes Anderson was working on next was inevitably going to be highly anticipated. Even if Anderson switched gears and left his detail oriented humor with wondrous ensemble casts, costumes, and production design behind, we’d still all probably be excited for what his next project would be.
Well, Wes Anderson’s latest film, The Grand Budapest Hotel, definitely carries his auteur stamp, featuring the fine acting talents of Ralph Fiennes, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Edward Norton, Willem Dafoe, Owen Wilson, Léa Seydoux, Adrien Brody, Jeff Goldblum, Jason Schwartzman, Tom Wilkinson, Harvey Keitel, and even more in addition to a beautiful hotel and plenty gorgeous shades of purple. It has all the makings of what we all pretty much want to see as a follow up to Moonrise Kingdom.
