Since we’re tired of waiting so long for our favorite comic-book mercenary to star in his own solo film, UCB decided to take matters into our own hands. Get set to watch their latest and greatest web video Deadpool, Make Me a Villain’s Assistant!, featuring none other than Marvel’s madcap assassin. That’s right, before Ryan Reynolds dons the red-and-black spandex for the big screen (Fox’s Deadpool movie was recently given a February 12, 2016 release date), you can take an intimate look at a disfigured and mentally unhinged, fourth-wall-breaking killer who just wants to hire a personal assistant in order to schedule his assassinations, lest he find himself double-booked while tussling with Wolverine.
“Fortunately, as my assistant, you won’t have to deal with any of the ‘violent stuff.'” Yeah, who among us hasn’t heard that line? Make Me a Villains Assistant! comes to us courtesy of the good folks at Los Angeles’ Upright Citizens Brigade improvisational and sketch comedy group. It’s created by Todd Bieber, directed by Matt Braunsdorf, written by Achilles Stamatelaky, and starring Morgan Grace Jarrett and Justin Brown.
Let us know what you think — can Ryan Reynolds top this? Is Deadpool really such a bad guy or is he just a misunderstood fellow with low self esteem who’s looking for a friend? Are there any other villains you’d like to see interview potential personal assistants? And what would you look for in a minion? Let us know in the comments below.
