The only constant is change, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it. I was sad to hear about Jon Stewart leaving The Daily Show because he’s going to be tricky to replace, but I understand not many people want to do the same job forever and ever. Sigh. Now that you’ve been briefed on the low point of today’s TV news, keep reading for an update on the future of Constantine, a new psychological thriller at Showtime, photos from the next episode of The Flash, and more.
Is It the End? The first season of Constantine wraps up tomorrow, and the future of the series about DC Comics’ John Constantine is far from clear. NBC recently passed out a round of renewals, but Constantine was left out. Hmm. However, CineLinx reports that NBC is considering moving Constantine to Syfy for its second season and possibly changing the title to Hellblazer. Nothing official has been announced or confirmed or anything, but I’d rather see a move than see the series get pulled. Matt Ryan is too interesting as Constantine, and the show gets better every week. [ComicsAlliance]
No One Is Laughing. As I woefully mentioned earlier, Jon Stewart is departing The Daily Show. On the upside, we still have him “until later this year.” Read all the details and Stewart’s comments on the change here at Nerdist.
A Storybrooke Addition. Prepare to start speculating, Once Upon a Time fans. The fairy tale series has cast Agnes Bruckner (Private Practice) in a three-episode arc, and we have absolutely no information about her role. I’m going to make a wild guess that she’s an adult Lily. What do you think? [The Hollywood Reporter]

Don’t Underestimate Women. Marvel’s Agent Carter continues to delight me each week. I’ve found little to criticize about the series, and this week’s episode didn’t disappoint. The walls closed in on Peggy, and I don’t know how she’s going to escape her current situation. Read my review of “A Sin to Err” and please enjoy Hayley Atwell’s expression in the above gif.
From the Jailhouse To the Courtroom. Orange Is the New Black’s Laverne Cox has been cast in CBS’ upcoming legal drama Doubt. The series lead hasn’t been cast yet, but Cox will co-star in a role specifically created for a transgender actress. The character, Cameron Wirth, is “a transgender Ivy League-educated attorney who is as competitive as she is compassionate.” Read more about the series and the character at The Hollywood Reporter.
All About You. Greg Berlanti (Arrow, The Flash) and Sera Gamble (Supernatural) are working with Showtime to develop a new psychological thriller based on a book by Caroline Kepnes. You will draw from You: A Novel and is about a young man in the 21st century who leverages the current digital state “to make the woman of his dreams fall in love with him.” This sounds both creepy and promising. It’s not picked up just yet, but Berlanti and Gamble are writing the script. [Deadline]
Firestorm! If you’re a fan of DC Comics’ Firestorm, you’ve probably spent many weeks freaking out over the possibility of seeing more of the character on The Flash. This week’s episode, “The Nuclear Man,” dropped Ronnie Raymond and Dr. Martin Stein onto your doorstep with a bang. Read Joseph’s review of the episode. And because there is no such thing as too much of The Flash, how about some photos from the next episode? “Fallout” sees the return of General Eiling and Raymond and Stein will have to make a difficult decision. See the whole gallery at TV Fanatic.
