THE WALKING DEAD Speculation, Lynda Carter in SUPERGIRL, and More TV News

Hold onto your hats and various other pieces of clothing, because AMC’s The Walking Dead might have dropped some information that confirms our theory about the season six finale. Learn all the deets in today’s TV-Cap along with seeing pics of Lynda Carter as the President of the United States in Supergirl, getting information on Fraggle Rock returning to HBO, and more.

Cliffhanger Ideas! Season seven of The Walking Dead will return on October 23, and we’ll finally know who Negan killed. Our theory is that he killed two people, not one, and footage dropped at New York Comic Con could confirm that. Ready for all the evidence and speculation? Then watch Jessica Chobot drop some knowledge in the latest Nerdist News. [Nerdist]

Sassenach Style. The costumes of Starz’s Outlander are things of beauty, and you can bring home a taste of Claire Fraser’s style with a new collection from Hot Topic. They’re releasing designs featuring coats, the MacKenzie tartan, and some tees soon, and I can’t wait to don them for my next visit to the standing stones. See more of the collection here at Nerdist. Zombies and Kryptonians. I have casting updates for you, friends. First of all, another Veronica Mars alum will be stopping by iZombie. Jason Dohring will play Chase Graves, Vivian Stoll’s brother-in-law; he’ll make his first appearance in the eighth episode of season three. And Krypton? They’ve added six cast members to their pilot: Ian McElhinney as Val-El, Ann Ogbomo as Primus Alura Zod, Aaron Pierre as Dev-Em, Rasmus Hardiker as Kem, Elliot Cowan as Daron Vex, and Wallis Day as Nyssa Vex. Whew. [Entertainment Weekly and CBR]

Battle Action. Dinosaurs and zombies are happening in season two of Legends of Tomorrow, and you can see them and much more in this extended trailer. Plus, they, there’s the JSA and the Legion of Doom. It looks like all the camp and silliness, and I’m so in. The show comes back October 13. [TVLine]

An Ending. AMC has renewed Halt and Catch Fire for a fourth season, but it will be the last one. Series showrunners and creators Christopher Cantwell and Christopher C. Rogers will continue to write on the last 10 episodes to bring the story to a close.

Expect the unexpected #legion

Perfection. How could I forgot to add this to the casting update? Jemaine Clement has joined FX’s Legion. Showrunner Noah Hawley shared the news on Instagram. Yes, it’s the best. [Nerdist]

Oh, Happy Day. HBO isn’t only the home for adult dramas, it’s also where children’s series like Fraggle Rock hang their hat. New episodes haven’t aired in 30 years, but HBO is gonna take the 96 installments from the vault and re-air them in restored HD glory. New kids are going to meet Fraggles! I think that’s rad. [Nerdist]

Lady Power. Lynda Carter, a.k.a. Wonder Woman, is coming to The CW’s Supergirl as the POTUS (insert a Schuyler sisters, “Work!” here). The female president was referenced a few times in season one, and she’ll come to the screen in the third episode, “Welcome to Earth.” But we have a few photos of Carter in the role now! Yay! See additional pics here at Nerdist. [Images: The CW]

Meet the Champion. Two worlds exist side-by-side in Netflix’s upcoming Trollhunters. The animated series from Guillermo del Toro will premiere on December 23, and based on this trailer, I’m utterly sold. The action and mythology areĀ intriguing, and the look of the animation is definitely my aesthetic. What do you think? [Nerdist]

Let’s Visit Westeros. It’s weird when Game of Thrones wraps each year because we go from talking about the HBO series every single day to well, not doing that. Today we have some scoop, though! Some internet investigating has shown Bella Ramsey will return as Lyanna Mormont in season seven–heck, yes!–and some new cast members are joining as well. Some recentĀ set photos have Alicia all atwitter, and you can read her thoughts here at Nerdist.

Swapping Spideys. Marvel announced at NYCC that The Ultimate Spider-Man animated series is coming to an end in January, and that new animated series Marvel’s Spider-Man will take its place. Marvel’s Spider-Man will premiere in 2017 and will focus on Peter Parker’s origin story. [IGN]

Dark and Light. Monday night brought another episode of Gotham and the premiere of season three of Supergirl. Take a visit to Gotham City with Sydney’s recap, and then fly to National City for Samantha’s recap.
