We’ve already waxed poetic about the musical abilities of the kids from Stranger Things, whether it’s Steve’s Tame Impala-like psych rock band, Finn Wolfhard’s Nirvana cover, or Millie Bobby Brown’s impressive rap skills, but now they’re just showing off.
At the Emmy pre-show on Sunday evening, Millie Bobby Brown, Caleb McLaughlin and Gaten Matarazzo took the stage to perform Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk,” proving that whether they’re facing off against the demogorgon or having fun singing pop songs, they are entertaining to no end.
Elsewhere during the Emmys, the trio also helped Jimmy Kimmel with his hosting duties: Kimmel’s mother made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for everybody in attendance, so they hopped on their bicycles and handed them out to the celebrities and guests in attendance. Even though the show’s only been out for a couple months, we still got “nostalgic” seeing Brown in that blonde wig again.
Matarazzo kept himself pretty busy last night, as he also took over Netflix’s Instagram account to provide some quick video dispatches from behind the scenes, and just look at how much fun he was having. We’re also totally on board with “the Millster Meister” as a new nickname for Millie Bobby Brown.
By the way, if you’re wondering where Wolfhard, the fourth member of the main crew, has been during the Stranger Things promotional blitz, it’s likely he’s been busy working on the upcoming remake of Stephen King’s It, so we’ll excuse him while he establishes himself as a horror superstar.
